Nick’s project experience is in renewable energy as project developer and Principal of Polpo Investments Limited, which managed a gigawatt pipeline of utility scale solar farms in NSW, in partnership with NASDAQ listed solar PV manufacturer and developer, Canadian Solar (NASDAQ:CSIQ), and European listed developer, Photon Energy. Nick oversaw the development of the Gunnedah Solar Farm and Suntop Solar Farm which signed Australia's largest corporate PPA with Amazon totalling 165MW. Nick holds a bachelor of Accounting and bachelor of Laws from UTS and previously worked as legal counsel at PwC. He is Biocare Projects’ CEO.

Greg is a science graduate with an honours degree in organic chemistry. He has consistently developed a first-mover advantage throughout his 30 years deploying innovative, real-world technologies and processes. Greg is a former President of the Adelaide University Science Association and has come to specialise in the decarbonisation of agro-ecological and petrochemical supply chains. He has served as the R&D Manager for commercial companies and not-for-profit industry organisations while applying his trade widely across Australia and the Americas. Greg is a patent author, a partner in, or a technical advisor to a range of sustainability-focused enterprises that have experienced growth, won awards or attracted international investment. Greg currently serves as the Managing Director of Clean Carbon Pty Ltd, which focuses on technical solutions for emissions management and carbon transformation.

Abe started his career as a lawyer at the ASX. A few years later, he was recruited by the technology start-up COzero as its Chief Investment Officer. In 2011, COzero was awarded #1 in the BRW Fast 100 with revenues over $100M. COzero managed a global carbon fund and was one of Australia’s largest traders of environmental certificates. Abe lived and worked in the USA for four years at CBL Markets (now called Xpansiv) a venture-backed exchange focused on environmental certificates.  During his time in New York, he led an international joint venture to develop a stock exchange in South Africa called 4AX. Abe is the co-founder of Birdi, an aerial intelligence platform, Stropro an alternatives investment platform and Batyr a mental health charity. He currents sits on the board of the not-for-profit Young Change Agents. He holds a Master of Law and Legal Practice from UTS, a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney, and was an Xstrata Scholar at the University of Newcastle.
Russell Seawright

Russell Seawright, based in South Australia, has over 30 years of natural resource management experience delivering large-scale environmental projects. Currently, Russell is the Chief Operations Officer for Australian Integrated Carbon, one of Australia’s largest landscape carbon developers. His past work across State and Commonwealth Governments during the millennium drought was recognised nationally when he was awarded the Banksia’s Award – Prime Minister’s Environmentalist of the Year. Russell has also received awards for environmental planning and GIS mapping. Russell has a passion for investigating how carbon markets can increase landscape productivity and bring diversified revenue into communities. He has played a pivotal role in the development of Australia’s first ‘blue carbon’ pilot which implemented the Verified Carbon Standard – proof of concept for tidal reconnection as a blue carbon offset project.
Ruy Anaya de la Rosa

Ruy Anaya de la Rosa holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from ITESM, Mexico City, an MSc in Sustainable Energy Technology from TU/e, the Netherlands, and a PhD in the Life Cycle Assessment of biochar systems for carbon finance from Massey University, NZ. For his Postdoctoral research work at UNE, Ruy developed a biochar methodology for the Australian Emissions Reduction Fund. He directed the GEF/UNEP-funded Biochar for Sustainable Soils (B4SS) project and is preparing the B4SS2 proposal. Ruy has over 18 years of experience in carbon trading and project development and aims at up-scaling biochar systems around the world.

Philip has 15 years experience in management consulting, advisory and assurance across vastly diverse interests within clean tech: from carbon management, energy efficiency, renewable energy and biofuels, sustainability and climate disclosure and economic and cost benefit analysis. Philip has formal qualifications in economics and environmental management and is EnergyLink Services’ Managing Director.

Jose, a Civil Engineering graduate from Tecnologico de Monterrey and UIUC, started his career over a decade ago as a LEED Accredited Professional by the US Green Building Council. Ensuring compliance of industrial and commercial construction projects with LEED Green Building Standards. Jose co-founded and managed a specialised company in the Steel Industry focused on recycling scrap steel coils and supplying steel parts to the construction and automotive sectors. He recently completed an MBA from AGSM@UNSW, Sydney, specialising in ESG consulting, and serving as the Director of Sustainability and Social Impact in the AGSM Student Association. Now at Biocare, Jose leverages his extensive background to drive Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) Projects and contribute to environmentally responsible biomass waste management practices.

Jack Bennetto has over a decade's experience leading market entry and growth for ClimateTech, AgTech and Geospatial companies. Jack was General Manager at Nearmap where he led go-to-market for Australia and New Zealand (acquired by Thoma Bravo, $1.1Bn). Before Nearmap, he was Sales Director of SOURCE Global (lead investor - Bill Gates' Breakthrough Energy Ventures) and Sales Director of H2OX, the Australian agricultural water exchange which is now owned by the world's largest environmental commodities exchange Xpansiv.

Luis is a PhD graduate researching the relationship of ESG and financial performance during financial crises. He has experience in various finance roles including insurance trading and sales. He is proficient in futures trading, options spreads, quantitative and fundamental research, as well as trade execution. Demonstrated expertise in investment analysis, unit pricing, ESG investing, accounting, governance, and compliance.

Jack is currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Commerce at the University of New South Wales, majoring in Electrical Engineering and Finance. Jack has experience with carbon market research, DCF modelling, NSW ESS, Climate Active, Type 2 Energy audits. He is interested in energy and climate finance as part of the transition to a low carbon economy.
