This project is a landmark partnership between GMF Latinoamericana S.A. (GMF) and Biocare, established to develop the first large-scale carbon removal facility in Corrientes Province. The facility will process sustainably sourced forestry residues from eucalyptus plantations and sawmills, which are currently left unmanaged, stockpiled, or openly burned—posing significant fire and environmental risks. By converting this biomass into biochar, the project will enable durable carbon storage while delivering agronomic and environmental benefits.
