The Biocare – Vietnam Rice Husk Biochar Project converts rice husks, an agricultural residue, into biochar using slow pyrolysis technology. Biochar is applied to agricultural soils in the Mekong Delta to enhance soil fertility and sequester carbon. The project sources feedstock from local rice mills and distributes the biochar to regional farmers.
